Drama System builds these triangles too. Mostly between PCs but also including the NPCs they reference. It does appear quite static at the start. However there is the tension created by outside pressure (hunger in the basic game) and as soon as someone makes a move, they whole edifice comes under stress and starts to rearrange.

Great discussion. The Elmore Leonard reference you didn't mention is Justified. The TV series is based on one of his stories, and he participated in the production. It features a federal marshall who returns home to the hills of post-mining Kentucky. Leave a Reply. |
