You did a great job with the gonzo definition. The point of being able to select any source without fear of it clashing with your campaign vibe was spot on. I run a DCC monthly group in Sacramento and the players have no idea what is coming next. Is it going to be a swamp wizard, a missile bunker controlled by an evil AI, or a wasteland mall full of zombie punkrockers? Who knows, but for sure it will be deadly!
