I've ran Sailors on the Starless Sea more than a person should. I love it that much. I loved the discussion about integrating the 0 level characters into the story. One thing I've done that was popular with the players is I ask for a volunteer to be Sheriff of (town name). That person gets a mace as their "badge of office". I've noticed 2 things happen: the Sheriff informs the play of the group (I've had cowardly/bossy Sheriffs and brave/leader Sheriffs) and the mace itself takes on a 'quest aspect' to it. Players picking it up after the Sheriff falls and then becoming Sheriff themselves.

Love the podcast and I would love to hear more DCC RPG module discussion.
