I was just thinking of companion chronicles for this you could include the computer game Bioshock. Not just because of the Little Sisters. But the whole city of Rapture. A fallen fantastical utopia, albeit made by adults but could easily be the wish fulfilment of kids. They have injections that let you throw fireballs and other fantastical powers. Plus the whole style, music and art of Rapture. Anyhow, it's the first thing that came to mind listening to your podcast.
