Fond nostalgia for WoFM gamebook and boardgame but I can see it not working as a proper RPG module.

I would loooove to hear you discuss the Warhammer classic The Enemy Within campaign, especially since Shadows Over Bögenhafen is now readily available as a pdf!

This was great to listen to! I've such nostalgia for WoFTM: we used to read it around the picnic tables at primary school and I still cite it as the reason I teach English now.

It might be of interest to you (especially Tom) that I've hacked Maze Rats to make it feel more Fighting Fantasy; if you'd care to look it over I'm certainly happy to send you a comp copy of QUARREL & FABLE! http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/231601/Quarrel--Fable

Just listened to this episode. I’m from Canada and I grew up on the Fighting Fantasy game books. A local book store carried them and I devoured them! I was 10 or so at the time, and it was a gateway into D&D proper.

I am currently running this module for kids as an intro to TTRPGs because it is not very grim, is a fun house, and has lots of silly encounters.
