This is the final session of a series curtailed to 3 sessions by technical and other issues. The anger that Morwenna the Pagan Mystic feels for her patron, the goddess Brigit, finds release in the burning of a Great Hall, while the Revenant, Aelfwyn, confronts her husband, Ulric 'The Fish of Torksey', before escaping with the relic claimed by Christ but owned by Brigit. They return to Danum but the potents are unclear on who has been possessed by the Demon they seek to banish. After a mis-step Aelfwyn makes a fateful decision and Morwenna finds a cause...

Why, that Snooker certainly doesn't appreciate fine art like we do, yes? Maybe that boy Katsuo can reign him in. Still, they would have barely contained the situation if not for that rookie of theirs, what was it, Barbara? Whip-smart, that one. As for your dear Bubbles, well I've always said that the best bait is the one made by the mark themselves.

On their way to find the dragon Grayscale, the rebels (and Kalliban) stop over in the town of Ingot in the Ironspine Mountains. Ossian speak with Mayor Stonecliffe and discovers the miners and steel workers of Ingot may prove brothers-in-arms to the rebellion. Kalliban meets with the Governor in an attempt to discover the truth behind some disturbing rumours. And Phaethon in turn makes an impression on the Governor.

The Murder Mavens solve the mystery of the Great Brindlewood Bay Bakeoff, but as Muriel and Violet learn, the road to justice is not always an easy one. Meanwhile, Nellie masterminds a heist, and Lexie seeks respite on the ocean waves.

Tapper must face the reality of her mortal boyfriend's connection to all this, Evening flirts with danger, Karen is determined to protect every member of her Motley, and poor Merrick tests the strength of his heart. As the Freehold begins to buckle in the face of the vengeful motley, we begin to see what is truly at stake.

The Kingdom of Elmet has been annexed by the Kingdom of Northumbria and its surviving royal family driven into the wilderness. Among them are Princess Manugia, sister to the new King in exile, and her husband, the Monster Hunter, Iamon Demonbane. Making their way to this mountain fastness is the Commoner Tuca, the former maid to Manugia and once described as 'Iamon's Lady'; Modthryth the Loon, scarred by the loss of all she knew; and Blacwyn the Hammer of the Gods, a friend to Iamon. Then there is a troll, some awkward re-introductions, and family drama...
