Our motley comes together and attempts to make things right and protect the other changelings of the freehold. Karen the wizened comes up with the perfect plan to set things in motion. Merrick the ogre struggles with powerful emotions as the Autumn court attempts to assume control of the situation. Evening the elemental struggles with making things right, and Tapper the darkling must face the realization that she is losing her human memories.

Usagi Yojimbo RPG: Bounty's Due Part 2 (Session 3)

The characters come to the defense of the village, going to another Lord to gain some backup that may arrive too late. The enemy ronin gathers reinforcements and the 3 ninja who have been sent to make sure the silver mine is taken are looming. NOTE: The 1st 14 minutes of the game had a problem with the sound, so I fixed it and then restarted the video, where this one starts.

Achtung! Cthulhu Dark: Danger in the Desert (Session 4 of 4)

The Libyan Sand Sea, April 1941: The team tempt the Long Range Desert Group (precursors of the SAS) into a raid on the Projekt Prometheus base in the deep desert. Competent Sparks, Avery Carlyle, returns and there's a blow up, while Educated Advisor, Arthur Blake, demonstrates how hardened he has become. Meanwhile, Tough NCO, Wilbur Strauss, opens 'the cello case' and costs Plucky Private Angel Stoner a chapter of his previous life under which he draws an emotional line...and there are Djinn.

Codex - Yellow 2 is Now Available!

I've always been fascinated by Carcosa; from the little glimpses of the city in Ambrose Bierce's original short story, to the works of Robert W. Chambers, to the horrifying mythos planet of the infamous OSR setting, to the TV show True Detective, and more, Carcosa has always stuck with me. It's the idea of a place, though a vague one, and I think that's what makes it so compelling—it worms its way into the minds of many creators and is born anew in their work, though it never looks quite like what came before.

This was the inspiration for the original Codex - Yellow—how many different ways can we interpret Carcosa? And we're doing it again with Codex - Yellow 2, which is now available in The Gauntlet $6+ Patreon feed. In St. Vitus's Dance, a Cthulhu Dark mystery, we see the version of Carcosa that is an underground artistic movement; in Finding Carcosa, a solo-play RPG, we focus on Carcosa as a dreamworld asserting itself into our reality; in Search for Manoa, an epistolary Monster of the Week adventure, we have the idea of a great, fabled king ruling over a mythic city; in Court of the Radiant King, a Trophy Dark incursion, we have the journey through a mask-wearing royal court to face the Hastur-like being on the throne; in Exit Stage Death, a Brindlewood Bay mystery, we are presented with a cult that performs a play that is very much inspired by The King in Yellow; and in the miscellany, Three-Dozen MORE Forbidden Texts, we explore a common Lovecraftian trope.

Benghazi, April 1941: Rommel's Afrika Korps sweep North on a collision course with the characters as they fly into Benghazi in search of the only man they believe can guide them to the desert base of Projekt Prometheus. Tough NCO Strauss and Plucky Private Stoner look for a lead in the Suq, while Educated Advisor Blake and Undercover Agent Wright try a more sophisticated avenue of approach. They converge on Abdul Hassan Mechilli in time to save his life while Stoner reveals a hidden secret and Strauss reveals a softer side; Wright doesn't believe what he sees while Blake believes he's seen a Djinn...and there are mongooses...why is it always mongooses...?

Morwenna the Pagan Mystic is shaken by what she has sensed and runs to the forest in search of guidance while our Priest of God, having been bitten by 'the Demon', owes the Dark Old Gods a debt...and almost everything he tries has consequences. Though Aelfwyn the Saxon Revenant negotiates a way out of Danum, Gunjar the Hammer of the Gods is determined to make a fight of it...and then there's a haunted monastery...one character challenges a foe to discover a mentor, another makes an offer to the servants of a god not their own, and one is unnerved by bone chilling cold...

Our Educated Advisor takes the lead; our Tough NCO demonstrates how dangerous he can be; then our Undercover Agent displays their talents while our Competent Sparks reveals something of the blackmail that forced them into the Secret War.

High on the slopes of Mt. Fallor is an abandoned cave of no real prominence. Few have ventured into its depths, and even fewer have come back. Most who return tell stories of frozen rivers and disappointment, some come back with stories of screams from the depths, but one came back with something greater. An old man, hooded and cloaked, rode into town the day before yesterday. Before leaving town he sold a pair of silver ingots engraved with strange runes, and told the shopkeep that he found them in the Chasm of Screams. Now the town is abuzz with rumors, speculation and preparations, and if you can get there first you might just find some ancient silver in the frozen depths.
