Gauntlet Hangouts

Fate of Cthulhu: The Rise of Nyarlathotep (Session 1 of 5)
Alun R. runs for Bodhi, Lowell Francis, The Rolistes Podcast, and Will H
Time-traveller Avery Quinn finds an unlikely ally in fisherman Illtyd Aderyn McFee, before they discover that the time-traveller Quinn was meant to work with died, but not before he could brief his present day self...bringing CIA Agent Rook and inveterate builder and tinkerer, Nessa al-Ghumari into the Resistance cell tasked with altering the timeline to save humanity from the Rise of Nyarlathotep. Then there is an antarctic expedition, dubious funding streams, and a sinister archaeologist...and a hand-crafted, swiftly assembled bomb...

This Party Sucks
Donogh runs for Mark (they/them) and Stentor Danielson
"It'll be good for you," they told Caoimhe, "meet some new people," "you'll have fun." They might even have thought it would help her get over her breakup. Well, those parties sucked; though they may not have been wrong.

Masks: Neighbourhood (Vol 2 Issue 1)
David Walker runs for Gerwyn Walters, Lara Boerth-Dryden, Pawel S., and Will H
Gridlock - The gridlock guardians are back to defend their corner of Union City - and there have been some changes. Haunted by their mistakes in 'the Blackout' (See issue 6 - Ed) Isabella Torres has taken on the mantle of their dead father the Grey Ghost, a decision that threatens to drive a wedge between their burgeoning relationship with Nox. Nox has her own problems - her firebrand sister Kitty has put on the mask and seems to be enamored of Dynamics' way of doing things. Dynamic's quest to build the ultimate superhero band continues. Big times are calling in his new show with his news editor and investigative reporter Juanita Sanchez (see Masks: Titans and Neighborhood vol 1) whilst Cirus Kilgore, now the sole benefactor of his villainous father's fortune, crafts a new identity as Paladin and sets to work as an officer of the law - shame the Rakshasa, the demon of Union city does not seem to respect the badge. With all of this personal drama will they get to the rendezvous to help their ally the Bluebird on her mission? Content Warning: discusses animal cruelty and PTSD

Return to Brindlewood Bay (Session 5)
Lowell Francis runs for Dan Brown, Patrick Knowles, and Will H
We return to the Mavens, still recovering from the violent failure of their previous case, several months down the road with a new member and a new case in the dark halls of a whaling museum.

Apocalypse Keys: Season 3 Episode 1 - The Oldest House
Jamila R. Nedjadi runs for Darold Ross, Eli S., Joel N., and Leandro Pondoc
Months have passed since the Hungry Ghost Festival in Singapore. Vana is searching for any information about Agent Mikelson, Panzer X is getting used to the jostle of minds and personalities in their system, and Delilah catches up with an old friend. Laylah joins us as our new character for this season, and she brings with her mystery and power. The DIVISION agents find themselves caught up in the twisted reality and mysteries of The Oldest House, and we begin a new mystery...

Heart: Breakers (Sessions 1-3 of 3)
Kieron runs for Bethany H., Darren Brockes, Jim Likes Games, and Sabine V.
The players bravely delve into the Heart beneath a milehigh city and confront the LightHausfrau and have powerful feelings about powerful cheeses.

Impulse Drive: The Expanse (Session 1 of 4)
Alun R. runs for Brandon Brylawski, Jon Grim, and Rob Ruthven
We meet Rae the Belter, who is soooo beltalowda; Kit the former MCRN Intelligence Officer; and Felix the former UN Marine, as they try to fulfil a contract to collect a datafile from a long mined out asteroid. There's signs of the Inarta OPA terrorist group; a 'base-within-a-mine'; and MCRN involvement with Protogen...and cockroaches...giving off a strange blue fluorescent glow...

Shattered City: Session Zero
Lowell Francis runs for Chris Newton, Daniel H., Patrick Knowles, and Tyler Lominack
In this set up session, we build the map of our fallen city--scars, havens, threats, and more--and discover which Houses will struggle to rebuild and gain control under the watchful eye of the Guilds.

Brinkwood: Refuge (Session 5)
Jamila R. Nedjadi runs for Ben, Daniel H., Joel N., and Josh Hittie
We meet a new Warden, will Kian be able to make Mother Myrtle proud and plant the fragile seed in their care? Kian asks pointed questions about the heart trees, Mother Myrtle must say goodbye before she's ready, Solei gathers all for the Ritual of Masks. Meanwhile, Toland and Ashtarae must give it their all, as they enter a dangerous place of broken mirrors and blood red gold. In this session we are cozy as a rainy night, going in for full sadness. We all agreed at the end of this session that we need to have a well deserved bath house scene next session!

The Pack (Session 1)
Dan Brown facilitates for David Schultz, Jane, and Lowell Francis
We meet Davey, Scallop, Oatmeal, and Sparky, four dogs who are all on vacation when the devastation -- The Never-ending Walk -- comes. They're several weeks in, having established their den at the local rec center. Sparky and Oatmeal raid one of the homes to get supplies, aided by local cat Marmalade. Davey and Scallop investigate the nearby woods, only to encounter the Big Bad living there.

Offworlders: Dead Planet (Session 2)
Mike Ferdinando runs for Brandon Brylawski, Jason Zanes, Kyle H., and usnavi
The crew of the Stingray-12 encounter strange and dangerous aliens that suddenly appear aboard the derelict ship Alexis, and realize it has something to do with a weird alien statue in the cargo hold. Returning to their own ship, they find life signs on the dead planet's moon, but find out the hard way that they aren't particularly friendly. Tracing the source of the hyperspace anomaly to the only island of significance on the planet's surface, they enter the atmosphere...

Gauntlet Campaigns

Apocalypse Keys: The Ouroboros (Session 2)
Jamila R. Nedjadi runs for Lowell Francis, Matthew Arcilla, Patrick Knowles, and Sherri
We return to Manila, where a Manananggal community is in danger. Daya and Ashurdan visit a place sacred to the Manananggal, Atta barely keeps her powers in check as she destroys a threat, and Thorne is drawn closer to what the darkness demands of him. Will the team be able to understand the plans of the harbingers here and unlock doom's door?

Teenage Nightmare: Apocalypse High (Session 1)
Jamila R. Nedjadi facilitates for Darold Ross, Joel N., and Leandro Pondoc
For this Apocalypse Keys AU this features the DIVISION team that includes Delilah the Shade, Vana the Fallen, and Panzer X the Summoned. They have been re-imagined here as Del Starke the Dead, Savannah the Vampire, Dex Montgomery the Visitor. And as the GM for Apocalypse Keys, I get to pick an NPC and make them my PC in Teenage Nightmare, yay for GM-less games! I made Candace Allen the Witch, based on the Creator of the Panzer series. (Yes I just wanted an excuse to play a teen version of Taylor Swift). In this session we create our town, our characters, populate the classroom, and set the desires for our setting elements!

You can see all these videos (plus all the ones that have come before) on The Gauntlet YouTube channel playlists, and be sure to subscribe to catch all our great podcasts!
